Key Benefits
Featuring all-stainless-steel construction and pleated design, our pleated stainless steel filter cartridges give you real benefits for premium filtration.
Long service life means fewer replacements. That cuts maintenance downtime and keeps your production line running.

With a micron rating as low as 1 μm, they catch tiny particles well. This protects sensitive components and boosts product quality.
Our stainless steel fiber sintered felt has a controlled pore structure. So you get consistent filtration performance and high dirt-holding capacity.
Compatible with water, oils, acids, alkalis, fuels, and organic solvents. No chemical degradation or performance loss from exposure.

Fully cleanable and reusable for quick recovery of filtration efficiency. This lowers system downtime and cuts costly production disruptions.

Advanced pleating technology optimizes flow distribution. As such, pressure loss is minimized, and overall system energy consumption is reduced.

All-stainless-steel construction provides high mechanical strength, tolerates pressures up to 8.6 bar, and stays structurally intact in extreme environments.

This versatile cartridge serves industries including fine chemical, oil & gas, microelectronics, food & beverage, Pharma & Biotech, and water treatment.
What Is a Pleated Stainless Steel Filter Cartridge?
Pleated stainless steel filter cartridge, or stainless steel pleated filter cartridge, uses stainless steel fiber sintered felt ou woven wire mesh as its filter medium. The filter media is pleated and then welded to the end caps. In this way, this pleated design significantly increases the filtration area without increasing the overall size, thus improving the filtration efficiency.
The pleated structure has three distinct layers: an outer protective layer, a primary filtration layer, and an inner support layer. These three layers protect the filter from damage during use and handling. In addition, they not only maintain structural stability but also enable the filter cartridge to withstand a high differential pressure of up to 8.6 bar.

Filson uses diffusion-bonded versions to bond the filter media of pleated stainless steel filter cartridges, which have no weld seams and do not affect the pore structure. All joints and seals are made using TIG welding, a process that makes the pleated filter cartridges more resistant to high temperatures and high pressures, allows for reuse, and enhances structural durability.
Before leaving the factory, each filter cartridge undergoes bubble point and permeability testing in accordance with ISO 4003 and ISO 4022 and is supplied with a certificate of compliance. We use export-grade packaging, which is moisture-proof and shock-proof, to ensure safe transportation and delivery within 2 weeks. For more information, feel free to contact us.
Aplicações típicas
The following are some typical specific applications of pleated stainless steel filter cartridges.

Withstanding up to 500 °C, they can be used as melt filters to remove gels, degraded material, and debris from molten plastics (both recycled and virgin). They also work well for filtering polymer melts in petrochemical processing, plus polyester fiber and textile applications.

These cartridges are built for stable performance under high-temperature steam. They resist deformation or failure. They remove metal particles, scale, dust, grease, and other impurities from steam. That keeps steam pure and stops contaminants from getting into downstream equipment.

Pleated stainless steel filter cartridges give you high-precision filtration down to 1 μm. They take out solid particles and contaminants from hydraulic fluid. This protects hydraulic pumps, valves, and other critical components. And that extends the overall service life of the system.

Pleated stainless steel filter cartridges can provide either surface filtration or depth filtration, depending on the filtration media you select.

Stainless steel wire mesh pleated filter cartridges are made with stainless steel woven mesh and achieve surface filtration by trapping particles on the surface, making them simple to clean.
Pleated stainless steel felt filter cartridges are made of stainless steel fiber sintered felt and exhibit depth filtration characteristics with defined pore control by capturing particles within the material, delivering high dirt-holding capacity.
You can clean a pleated stainless steel filter cartridge by backflushing, ultrasonic cleaning, or chemical cleaning.
- Forwater filtration, backflushing with clean liquid or compressed air is usually enough.
- For stubborn contaminants, ultrasonic cleaning helpsremove deep-seated blockages effectively.
- For oilor chemicals, immerse the cartridge in a compatible cleaning solution for chemical cleaning. Avoid solutions that containing chlorides or strong acids that may corrode stainless steel.
After cleaning, dry cartridge fully before reinstalling it. Then check the pressure drop to ensure it has nearly returned to its original level, thereby confirming that filtration performance has been restored.
Yes, they are. Stainless steel itself can handle up to 500°C under appropriate operating conditions without deforming or losing its strength. Therefore, pleated stainless steel filter cartridges are suitable for high-temperature steam, hot oils, and other high-temperature applications.
The maximum operating temperature is determined by the sealing material if elastomer gaskets are used. We offer two types:
All-welded cartridges: no gaskets at all. They can take the full 500°C. Suitable for extremely high temperatures.
Cartridges with sealing gaskets: temperature limit depends on the gasket material. They are fine for normal, everyday high-temperature conditions.
So the rule of thumb is: go with all-welded for extreme heat, and gasketed for regular hot applications.
Yes. Pleated stainless steel filter cartridge is compatible with most aggressive chemicals, making it suitable for long-term use in most common chemical environments, including acids, alkalis, oils, and solvents.
However, certain sealing materials may not be suitable for strong acids, strong alkalis, or solvent-based chemicals. So if you are using a pleated stainless steel filter cartridge with a seal, you must consider whether the sealing material is compatible with the chemical medium.
The maximum differential pressure is 8.6 bar, which makes pleated stainless steel filter cartridges suitable for most hydraulic systems.
